Proposal

Generally once the project is defined, a proposal is generated that details the scope of the project and the deliverables. The proposal will list the payments required, the phases of the the project, and the deliverables for each phase. There will usually be an initial deposit of 15% of the total budget required for work to commence.

Acceptance

The terms and scope of the proposal are not final until you click that “Accept Proposal” button. You should look at the AWS IQ Terms of Service document before you accept a proposal because that is the legally binding contact you are agreeing to. Once you’ve come to the conclusion that Lillibolero is the best choice for your project, go ahead and click that “Accept Proposal” button.

Deposit

A nonrefundable deposit is required to begin work in the amount of 20% of the proposal amount or $100, whichever is greater. If the total project cost is less than $100 then the entire amount will need to be paid up front.

Permission Request

To ensure the project is not delayed, the first order of business will be to obtain authorization from the client to do the work in their AWS account. This takes the form of a permission request, which needs to be granted for any work on AWS to begin, so it’s important for the client to response to this request promptly. Based on the scope of the project, the consultant will request the minimal amount of privileges in your account. There’s no need to create an IAM role for the consultant, that is all taken care of through AWS IQ by accepting the permission request. Once the project is complete the consultant will no longer have access to your account.

Project Completion

Yay! When the work is finished and the final payment is made, the project is marked completed. For your security the consultant loses any access to your AWS account. Please take a moment to give a recommendation for the consultant so that others can learn from your experience. Plus, it really helps the consultant get more work.
